Lighthouse Point is a small town in the greater Pompano Beach area of Broward County. Tucked in among other communities, it cannot expand. O the residences, 80 percent are single-family homes, with a high percentage on water.

Characterized by informal affluence and a leisurely pace, the attractive neighborhoods are quiet, tree-shaded and water-laced. The Intercostals Waterway serves as the town's eastern border.

Facilities include picnic area, bike paths, active recreation program, 11 tennis courts (9 clay and 2 hard), softball, football, baseball and soccer fields, and basketball courts.
